Born in Jerusalem, and raised in New Jersey, Fayza Awad is the Co-Founder and Vice President of United in Humanity. She is an emergency room doctor, with her degree in Medicine from UMDNJ. Her vision to spread relief and give back to her homeland came to life with United in Humanity. Fayza lives by the idea that you have never lived until you have done something for someone that they can never repay. It is her belief that if you’re successful in life, it is a blessing from God so that you can give back. Fayza’s connection to the mission trips were strengthened when she visited Lebanon three years ago and met a young girl that is the same age as her son Amir. She grew attached to Fayza, allowing Fayza’s guards to come down, making her Fayza’s hero. For someone who had endured so much, the girl had inspired Fayza to continue her humanitarian work through the mission trips. Fayza’s presence and myriad of effort allows for United in Humanity to grow.
